All these people on this bunker on a cliff, near Cherbourg in France, what are they waiting for ?
They are there to see the totale sun eclipse of the 11th august 1999. Cherbourg is one of the places where the sun was 100% occulted.
That one has my preference, but it's blurred. I still need a video return to aim the camera.
I did not succeed to make the photo I wanted, but anyway it was a very nice place to be this day.
As usual, people are very intrigued by the strange flying apparatus. They do not imagine I do their portraits.
Some minutes later, it was complete darkness, during one minute and a half. Pôleth still hold the kite line and is dumbfounded.
That one is to show the photo I dreamed of, but taken from above, of course. People wearing the special glasses, staring at the sky. But the weather was not clear enough, so there was only some very short periods of time when people used their glasses...
